Mariposa Ribon, Features Editor
Mariposa Ribon is The Beacon’s Feature Editor at MCLA. This is her sophomore year and her second year as a member. As Feature Editor, she not only writes for The Beacon, but she also edits articles located in the “Features” section and has so much fun with it! Mariposa has loved writing since before she can remember and has won several writing contests throughout her educational career. She defines journalism as, not speaking for others, but rather handing over the mic to those whose voices are eager to be heard. She hopes to one day work as an Investigative Journalist for Social Justice at Boston Globe.
