Hi Y’all! My name is Jaden (he/they), and I am the Social Media Manager for The Beacon. Currently, I study English and Communications with concentrations in Creative Writing and Journalism. I began my journey here at the Beacon last semester as a Staff Writer, and eventually, I took over the Beacon’s Instagram. I am a student of pop culture, mostly in how it intersects with social issues and how we can use it to discuss difficult topics. For example, last year I wrote “To BORG or not to BORG”, which explored underage binge drinking through the lens of the latest drinking fad at the time. Outside of communications I enjoy cooking and writing poetry and memoirs.
